How to Update:
This service provides software for upgrading the Coolpix P80 firmware to version 1.1. Verify your camera’s firmware version from the “Firmware version” item in the Setup menu. If the firmware version 1.1 is already installed on your camera, then you do not need to proceed with this upgrade.
Be sure to read the section, “Modifications enabled with firmware version 1.1″, before updating your camera’s firmware.
As the downloaded firmware must be copied to an SD memory card to perform the firmware update, an SD memory card reader or similar device is required.
See the installation instructions for information on the equipment needed to perform the firmware update. If, for any reason, you are unable to update your camera’s firmware yourself, take your camera to an authorized Nikon service representative, where they will perform the update for you.
